According to the new study, scientists from Wake forest School of Medicine found that early detection of pre-diabetes helps to prevent the risk of cardiovascular disease. The lead author of the study Mr. Michael P Bancks said that “we know that having diabetes increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases, so in our study we wanted to determine what the what’s the absolute risk or probability of developing heart disease was for people who were only at a prediabetic level of blood sugar”.
